ABOUT OUR SCHOOL
The Preschool In The Pines is a half day preschool located in Seven Lakes in the The Chapel in the Pines. Our preschool is open Monday- Friday from September through May. Our hours are 9:00am-12:00pm with an option to stay an hour later for "lunch bunch".
Our goal is to help children grow and become independent learners with the confidence to try new things. Our mission is to provide a safe and nurturing place where children are comfortable, play is encouraged, and all children are excited to learn.
Our classrooms are large, open, and designed for children to explore and learn through play. The Preschool in the Pines curriculum is theme and center based. Our curriculum is developmentally appropriate for each classroom and adapts to each new class.

Play enhances children’s physical, social/emotional, and creative growth and development. It is the primary means by which children explore their world and begin to make sense of the world around them. Without play, it is difficult for a child to understand how the world functions and how they can function in it.
ABOUT OUR DIRECTOR

Alison McCloskey grew up in Seven Lakes and currently lives in Pinehurst. She has an associate's degree in early childhood education. Alison has over 20+ years of experience in childcare that ranges from in home care to teaching in private preschools and practically everything in between. Alison is an active duty military wife and has a son that is starting high school. She is very excited to bring a preschool to the Seven Lakes area.
